God and Son

Poking the bloated corpse of religion with a pointy stick to hear it fart.

on March 11, 2013

Don’t ask a religionaut for proof of god or his supposed deeds… They aren’t allowed to question things, but rely purely on faith.

Abrahamic religions are memetic complexes where the greater part of the memes are there to ensure the propagation of the religion – effectively a religious monopolist. Just look at how many of the commandments are nothing to do with morality, but just about which god you should worship.

Have you read Snow Crash? Its plot revolves around pre-rational religions and considers religions in general to be viral – memes made real.
